A story about
Chaf is a very hard worker and loves its job as a Challah baker. It is responsible for ensuring all the Jewish homes have Challah for Shabbat. The reason why Chaf was chosen for such a special job is not only because it is trusted to do the Mitzvah of Challah (separating the dough) but also because chaf has the perfect shape for baking the Challah. Chaf is one of the only letters to have an oven shelf that can easily fit all the Challah. Every Friday afternoon a young boy who loved Challah would walk into Chaf’s bakery to buy Challah for Shabbat. One time, it was even before Sukkot that the boy came to buy Challah. Chaf invited the boy to the back of the shop to show him how Challah is made. The young boy was so excited! He watched Chaf roll and plait the dough and see how the challah was able to fit nicely into Chaf to bake. That night as his family was sitting around the table in their Sukkah under the SCHach, the boy told everyone about his exciting Challah experience.
