Button, Shelf to store the buttons. Point out to the student that the button in the middle of Bet is like a button on our shirts. The shelf on Bet is used to store spare buttons. To highlight the difference between Kaf and Bet, explain that Kaf does not have a shelf to store buttons, only Bet does.
Bet is getting ready for Shabbat. Before going to shul, Bet always makes sure its Bayit (House) is clean. It dresses in its best Shabbat clothes, including a button-down shirt. Bet is doing some last-minute preparations by sewing its button on. One of the reasons that Bet always wears a button-down shirt is so that no one mixes it up with its twin Vet. In case Bet’s button falls off, it always has a stack of buttons handy which it keeps behind it on a small shelf. Bet’s best friend is its cousin Kaf. All their other friends keep getting them mixed up which is why Bet has to remind them that Kaf does not have a shelf on its back, so, if you see a shelf, remember it’s for Bet’s buttons!
